Expert pacemaker implantation and follow-up for patients with bradycardia, heart block, and other rhythm disorders requiring cardiac device therapy.

When is a Pacemaker Needed?

A pacemaker is recommended when your heart beats too slowly (bradycardia), has irregular rhythm pauses, or there is a heart block. Symptoms include dizziness, fainting, fatigue, and shortness of breath.

The Implantation Procedure

Pacemaker implantation is a minimally invasive procedure performed under local anaesthesia. A small device is placed under the skin near the collarbone, with leads threaded into the heart. The procedure typically takes 1โ€“2 hours and most patients return home the next day.
